We’ll Do it Together

If you are able, you are most welcome and encouraged to accompany me for the inspection. During the home inspection we will discuss any issues that I call to attention and I will be answering your questions as we go. Bring a pad and paper because your going to want to write down some of the things we discuss. At the end of the home inspection we will review by going over the pictures that I load into my computer for your report and answering additional questions.

The Report

Unless specially requested, I will write your report the day of the inspection and you will have it the same evening or the next morning. Time is precious and I make every effort to deliver a prompt and most importantly accurate report.

The report will be available for download in PDF format from the My Report page.

Your home inspection report is divided into five categories for each area of the home examined:

  • Concerns/safety hazards
  • Repairs
  • Items to monitor
  • Maintenance/improvements
  • General comments and limitations

Mold

Due to increased demand we are now including mold surface and indoor air quality sampling to our list of ancillary services. We are able to conduct our mold inspections in two ways. The complete or the limited mold inspection in which indoor air quality and outdoor comparative air samples are taken to determine whether or not increased levels of mold spores are present. Also, Surface samples are taken to confirm the presence of mold. Not all that appears as mold is mold so it pays to take samples and be sure. In addition to the inspection, we offer information and informal guidance for eliminating conditions conducive to mold growth.

Thermal Imaging

As a certified home inspector and infrared certified thermographer I have the ability to perform a thermal imaging scan of your home. This is especially important if you feel cold air movement or your home feels drafty in the winter. Thermal Imaging can pinpoint leaking windows and other areas of potential cold air intrusion. Thermal imaging can also identify areas that are lacking insulation and may detect unseen moisture intrusion.
